The pilot
project, which will be implemented in Croatia with the possibility of expansion
onto the countries in the region, should help small and medium-sized companies
to develop a model for increasing exports.
The project is entirely financed by the UNIDO which will chose
five companies in which the project will be implemented over a period of 15
months, after which results will be measured. The project is then expected to
expand to include the entire region.
Minister Zuzul expressed satisfaction with the fact that
Croatia was selected for the implementation of the project.
Also attending the presentation of the project were UNIDO
Director General Carlos Magarinos, ambassadors of the countries in the region,
as well as the ambassadors of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland,
Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy,
Austria and Japan, as well as a representative of the UNIDO office in
Zagreb.
Zuzul is also scheduled to give a talk at the regular 29th
session of the UNIDO committee on industrial development. He is expected to
meet UNIDO Director General Magarinos and the Executive Director of the UN
headquarters in Vienna, Antonio Maria Costa.
The Croatian minister will end his visit to Vienna by meeting
OSCE Secretary General Jan Kubis.
