Drago Vukovic, adviser to Presidency Chairman Borislav Paravac, told local media on Friday that a decision on Terzic's resignation had to wait until next week because the Croat member of the Presidency, Dragan Covic, was not in the country.
The Presidency received a letter from Terzic's office on Friday, saying that he was resigning because the Council of Ministers did not have the support of the ruling coalition parties in the national parliament.
Terzic decided to step down on Thursday after the lower chamber of parliament amended the Value Added Tax Bill by introducing two tax rates instead of one.
