Miklos presented the tax reform he devised and which in Slovakia went into force on January 1.
The two officials also discussed fiscal decentralisation, the effect of spending on health and pensions on the national budget, and tax reform within entry negotiations with the European Union.
Since both ministers were appointed governors in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, they also agreed on joint steps in the future so as to improve the work and ensure a more fair rotation of countries within the office of the bank's executive director for Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.
