ZAGREB, Nov 2 (Hina) - In this year's first nine months Croatiaexported US$5.78 billion in goods, of which 15 percent was realised inthe shipbuilding industry, namely the production of transportationvehicles ($894 million), the Central Bureau of Statistics said in astatement on Tuesday.
ZAGREB, Nov 2 (Hina) - In this year's first nine months Croatia exported US$5.78 billion in goods, of which 15 percent was realised in the shipbuilding industry, namely the production of transportation vehicles ($894 million), the Central Bureau of Statistics said in a statement on Tuesday.

Expressed in US dollars, Croatia's exports in the first nine months of 2004 rose by 29.9 percent in relation to the same period the year before

Croatia's imports exceeded $12 billion.

The majority of Croatia's trade was conducted with the EU member countries to which Croatia exported some $3.8 billion which is 23.7 percent more than in the same period the year before. Croatia's imports from the EU member state in the first nine months amounted to $8.5 billion or 14.8 percent more than last year..

Croatia's most important foreign trade partners are Italy, German, Austria and Slovenia.
