ZAGREB, Oct 28 (Hina) - Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Jewish and
Muslim believers gathered in Zagreb on Wednesday evening for an inter-religious
meeting at which they said a joint prayer for peace, the local community of
friars reported on Thursday.The believers prayed for peace and marked the Day of the Spirit of
Assisi at the gathering organised by the Zagreb Catholic Archdiocese's
commission on ecumenism and the Franciscan community.
On 27 October 1986, an inter-religious meeting of this kind was for the
first time organised in the Italian town of Assisi, the place of birth of St.
Francis, the founder of the Franciscan order.
