"We want those two issues to be treated equally. If that does not happen, our claims about the continuation of an unacceptable policy, which we do not link to (Croatian Prime Minister Ivo) Sanader and his government, will prove founded," Pupovac said.
"Over the last three years, more than 8,000 houses have been purchased, and less than a half have been reconstructed. It is also unacceptable that some are provided with alternative accommodation contrary to relevant regulations, while Serb returnees have to wait for their property," Pupovac said.
Over the last six months, Serb representatives in the Croatian parliament have been warning the prime minister about the unacceptable model of property restitution and the treatment of Serb MPs and members of the Serb community in the process of property restitution.
