ZAGREB, Oct 25 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader andparliamentary deputy Semso Tankovic met on Monday to discuss the issueof citizenship the Muslim population from Croatian municipalitiesbordering with Bosnia were facing,
the Croatian government publicrelations office said in a statement.
ZAGREB, Oct 25 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and
parliamentary deputy Semso Tankovic met on Monday to discuss the issue of
citizenship the Muslim population from Croatian municipalities bordering with
Bosnia were facing, the Croatian government public relations office said in a
statement.It was said that the Croatian Interior Ministry, in line with agreements
reached earlier, has conducted a thorough checking of facts regarding meeting
legal conditions for the registration in the book of Croatian citizens.
Based on data on what has been done so far, it was concluded that all
Croatian citizen be registered in the book as soon as possible and in line with
Croatian laws.
Sanader and Tankovic expressed satisfaction with the final solution to
this problem, the statement said.
