ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - Dubrovnik-Neretva County Prefect Ivan Sprlje on Monday presented French Ambassador to Croatia, Francis Bellanger, with a certificate of merit for his contribution to promoting local tourism.

According to Sprlje, 25,000 French tourists visited this southern Croatian county, while in the first ten months of this year there were over 100,000 French holiday-makers.

"Great headway made in tourism is the result of confidence and friendship between the two countries over the past three years," Ambassador Bellanger said at the ceremony in Dubrovnik.
