POREC, Sept 24 (Hina) - Croatian Justice Minister Vesna Skare-Ozboltsaid on Friday she held talks with her Slovene counterpart ZdenkaCerar after a recent border incident, assuring her that Croatianpolice did not use violence but acted
in line with Croatian laws whenthey arrested 12 Slovene nationals illegally crossing the border.

said on Friday she held talks with her Slovene counterpart Zdenka Cerar after a
recent border incident, assuring her that Croatian police did not use violence
but acted in line with Croatian laws when they arrested 12 Slovene nationals
illegally crossing the border."Croatian-Slovene relations are otherwise very good and this tense
situation should be settled soberly because Croatia and Slovenia not only
depend on one another but share their destinies," Skare-Ozbolt said in response
to questions from the press in the northern Adriatic resort of Porec.
She added Wednesday's incident was the consequence of the pre-election
campaign in Slovenia.
