RIJEKA, Sept 21 (Hina) - Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) vice
president Damir Kajin on Tuesday called on local politicians from the Slovene
part of the Istrian peninsula to defuse political tensions over border
issues.Kajin told a news conference in the northern Adriatic town of Rijeka
that Croatia must not act more unreasonably than Slovenia which he said was
behaving that way because of the ongoing election campaign.
Stressing that Croatia fully advocated arbitration regarding the border
issue and that it would accept any solution, Kajin voiced doubt that Slovenia
would agree to arbitration.
