Committee on Inter-parliamentary Cooperation,Milorad Pupovac, the Sabor's public relations office said in astatement.
ZAGREB, Sept 16 (Hina) - A delegation of deputies of the German
Social Democratic Party (SPD) in the Bundestag, led by Detlef Dzembritzki, on
Thursday visited the Croatian parliament, where they held talks with the
chairman of the Committee on Inter-parliamentary Cooperation, Milorad Pupovac,
the Sabor's public relations office said in a statement.Pupovac said that progress had been made in the area of minority
protection and what remained to be done was better minority representation in
police, the judiciary and administrative bodies.
Construction has been started and property is being returned to its
owners, Pupovac said, adding that some war crimes trials, such as the Lora
trial, had not been conducted thoroughly.
Deputy Dzembritzki pointed to the importance of establishing an
atmosphere in which minorities would be satisfied and live without fear.
