"As Muslims we often encountered smaller or bigger obstacles, but we have been patiently building the reputation of our community. I think that we have succeeded owing to all Muslims in Croatia," Omebasic told Sarajevo's Dnevni Avaz daily.
He confirmed there was no dispute with the Croatian government regarding the building of a mosque in Rijeka and added that the other projects -- the construction of a mosque in Osijek -- was on hold because the Islamic community currently did not have funds for the construction of both mosques.
