Speaking to reporters after meeting Stability Pact special coordinator Erhard Busek, Zuzul refuted media speculation that Cek was replaced at Busek's request.
Croatian media alleged that Busek was not happy with Cek's objections to the association of Croatia with Albania, Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Turkey, and Kosovo into the Southeast European Energy Market.
Asked if he influenced the decision on Cek's transfer, Busek said it was up to every government to appoint its coordinator.
Zuzul and Busek presented the new national coordinator for the Stability Pact -- Renato Cobal, who works in Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's office. Cobal was former PM Ivica Racan's advisor on foreign policy and security.
