The decision on the awarding of licences will be made on 18 October this year, reads a statement signed by Council chairman Zeljko Debanic.
The original deadline for the submission of bids was 14 September and the deadline for the adoption of a decision on the awarding of the licence was 14 October.
The Telecommunications Council today also changed the Regulations on Concessions and Licences for Telecommunications Services requesting the bidders to submit a business plan of five years instead of the originally requested three-year plan. The Council recalled that all inquiries and requests in the bidding procedure had been answered by 30 August and that bidding documents were available on its web site www.vzt.hr.
The Council also decided to declare operators with significant market power in Croatia -- Croatian Telecom (HT) in the fixed telephony network, and HTmobilne komunikacije d.o.o. (HTmobile) and VIPNet d.o.o. in the mobile telephony network.
