The ICTY office in Belgrade dismissed the news, reported by the majority of electronic media, that an indictment would be issued against one of the former JNA chiefs of staff, Adzic.
Belgrade's TV station Studio B reported on Wednesday evening that according to its unofficial sources, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) had issued an indictment against general Adzic.
The head of the National Council for Cooperation with the ICTY, Rasim Ljajic, told the TV station that Adzic had been under investigation. He, however, was not able to confirm that an indictment was issued against the retired general.
Ljajic told Belgrade's Politika daily, which hit the newsstands on Wednesday, that according to his information, the ICTY would issue one more indictment against a person from Serbia and Montenegro.
