"The decision of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina to send a demining crew to Iraq will not be changed. The majority of the public supports our decision and in my opinion it has been misinterpreted that the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency does not agree with the public on that issue," Tihic said in an interview for Sarajevo daily Dnevni avaz which hit the newsstands on Tuesday.
SDA vice president Adnan Terzic was the only one who was oppose the sending of Bosnian citizens to Iraq. In spite of that, Tihic is confident that Terzic will carry out the decision of the Presidency.
The exact date of the departure of Bosnian deminig experts for Iraq has not yet been set. According to Tihic, this depended on the funds necessary for that mission and decisions of the Council of Ministers and Bosnian Defence Ministry.
