In the said period, Croatia's export totalled 3.72 billion dollars, with the import coming to almost eight billion, according to figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics last Monday.
Of the four counties with the surplus, Osijek-Baranja County had the surplus of 55.5 million dollars, with the export of 212.45 million ( a rise by some 3.3. percent as against the first half of 2003) and the import rising by 4.8 percent to 157 million dollars.
The second-ranked is Sisak-Moslavina County with an increase of 64.4 percent in the export which was worth 277.37 million and the import of 236.14 million (a rise of 29.6 percent). Its surplus was 41.23 million.
Virovitica-Podravina's surplus came to 14.9 million. This north-eastern county had the export of 44.4 million dollars (a 27.4 percent-rise) and the import of 29.5 million (a 30.5-percent rise).
The four-ranked was Pozega-Slavonia with the surplus of seven million dollars. This county's export came to 41.1 million (a 26.2-percent rise) and import to 34.07 million (a 51-percent rise).
