LIPOVLJANILIPOVLJANI, Aug 22 (Hina) - A festival of songs and dances of ethnicminorities in Croatia was held in the town of Lipovljani on Saturdayevening on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the arrival ofUkrainians in that
area some 80 kilometres south-east of Zagreb.
LIPOVLJANI, Aug 22 (Hina) - A festival of songs and dances of ethnic
minorities in Croatia was held in the town of Lipovljani on Saturday evening on
the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the arrival of Ukrainians in that
area some 80 kilometres south-east of Zagreb.The festival, officially opened by Culture Minister's envoy, Ivan Bete,
gathered folklore bands of the Ukrainian, Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, Italian and
Bosniak (Muslim) ethnic minorities.
Present at the event was also the first secretary of the Ukrainian
Embassy to Croatia, Ana Terticnaja, and representatives of ethnic minorities in
the Sabor.
