SARAJEVO, Aug 20 (Hina) - The tenth annual Sarajevo Film Festival
opened in the Bosnian capital on Friday evening with the screening of Bosnian
director Pjer Zalica's "Kod Amidze Idriza", which premiered in front of an
audience of more than 2,000.In recent years the festival has become the most significant regional
film revue. This year's edition, which closes on August 28, features 180 films
from a wide range of genres, from Hollywood blockbusters to shorts and
documentaries.
Among the nine films from Southeast Europe competing for awards are two
from Croatia, Silvije Petranovic's "Druzba Isusova", which opens the so-called
regional programme on Saturday, and Arsen Anton Ostojic's "Ta Divna Splitska
Noc".
