PAKRAC, Aug 19 (Hina) - War Veterans Minister Jadranka Kosor on Thursday took part in a panel discussion in Pakrac organised to mark the 13th anniversary of the defence of the town, 100 km southeast of Zagreb, from Serb rebels and the former Yugoslav army.

Speaking, among other things, about the adoption of a new law on war veterans, Kosor said the new law would not deprive veterans of even one right but would improve their position in line with the possibilities of the national budget.

A commemoration was also held today for all the residents of Pakrac killed in the defence of their town, including 109 soldiers and 135 civilians. The destiny of 120 is still unknown.
