PRISTINA, Aug 16 (Hina) - In its latest report for Kosovo,
Switzerland's foundation for peace "Swisspeace" has said that after the March
violence, the situation is visibly stabilised, stressing, however, that this is
not an indicator of permanent stability, Kosovo media reported on Monday. The economic situation, the reduction of income for the diaspora and
foreign donors, a high unemployment rate and general frustration over the
unsolved Kosovo issue are the main obstruction to permanent stabilisation of
the situation in Kosovo, Kosovo's dailies in Albanian cited the foundation as
saying.
Commenting on the possibility of the new erruption of violence, Deputy
UN Civil Administrators for Kosovo Charles Brayshow said that UNMIK did not
have information which would confirm that.
