BELGRADE, Aug 4 (Hina) - The focus of news programmes of the Belgrade
electronic media on Wednesday was on the ninth anniversary of the Croatian
military operation "Storm". A memorial service for Serbs killed in the
operation was held in the city's St. Mark's Church, after which several hundred
Croatian Serb refugees set out on a protest walk."Nine years after the operation, Serbs are still not returning to
Croatia in large numbers and the biggest obstacle to their return are trials
and secret lists of indictees which the Croatian authorities keep amending to
discourage those considering to return," the head of the information and
documentation centre "Veritas", Savo Strbac, was quoted by the media as
saying.
The head of an association of the families of missing Croatian Serbs,
Cedomir Maric, said the families of the missing were discouraged and worried
about the poor results of the identification process.
