ZAGREB, May 13 (Hina) - Investigators of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Thursday morning started to interview a former commander of the Military Police Administration of Croatian Defence
Ministry, retired Croatian Army Major General Mate Lausic, in Zagreb's ICTY office.
ZAGREB, May 13 (Hina) - Investigators of the International Criminal
Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Thursday morning started
to interview a former commander of the Military Police Administration
of Croatian Defence Ministry, retired Croatian Army Major General Mate
Lausic, in Zagreb's ICTY office.#L#
Lausic arrived at the ICTY office shorty before 9AM but did not make
any statements to the press.
It was announced earlier that he would be interviewed on 13 and 14 May
as a suspect, but the date of the interview or Lausic status were
never officially confirmed.
It was also announced that the ICTY was interested in interviewing
Lausic in connection with the 1993 Medak Pocket Operation, as well as
Storm and Flash operations which took place in 1995 when Lausic was
the military police commander.
