ZAGREB, May 12 (Hina) - There is no alternative to peace or struggle against terrorism, head of the Croatian parliament's foreign affairs committee Neven Jurica has said during his visit to Israel, the Croatian parliament said in a
statement on Wednesday.

Jurica is at the helm of Croatia's delegation which is visiting Israel
on May 10-13, at the invitation of the foreign affairs committee of
Israeli's Knesset.
Jurica expressed understanding for the problems Israel was facing in
its attempt to reach a peaceful solution. Croatia's delegation clearly
stated its support to peace guideline, the so called road map for the
Near East, the statement said.
Jurica and the delegation held talks with Knesset president Reuven
Rivlin, head of the foreign affairs and defence committee Yuval
Steinitz and committee members. The Croatian delegation also attended
a plenary session of the Knesset.
Opening the plenary session, the Knesset president warmly greeted the
Croatian delegation, the statement said.
Croatia-Israel official talks focused on excellent friendly bilateral
relations. Israel hailed and supported the development of democratic
values in Croatia and the Croatian government bids to draw closer to
the European Union
Jurica and the Croatian delegation also met a deputy at the Knesset
and the president of the subcommittee on foreign affairs, Naomi
Blumenthal. They agreed on the setting up of a parliamentary group of
the Israel-Croatia friendship in the Knesst. Blumenthal will be at the
helm of the group.
Jurica also held talks with members of the Croatia-Israeli Friendship
League.
