Some decision must be made, Patten said. Either the country will
decide to stick to those who are indicted by the Hague tribunal and
bear the consequences or it will decide to take the path towards the
European Union, He added. But it cannot have both, Patten said upon
his arrival in Belgrade.
Later on Monday evening Patten held talks with the president of the
Democratic Party and presidential candidate, Boris Tadic.
On Tuesday, the European Commissioner will meet the president of
Serbia and Montenegro, Svetozar Marovic, Prime Minister Vojislav
Kostunica and other officials.
