ZAGREB, May 5 (Hina) - The Adriatic resort of Dubrovnik will host an
international seminar from 24 to 26 May on protecting and rescuing
victims of disasters.#L#
The seminar, which will be organised by Euro-Atlantic Disaster
Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and the Croatian Interior
Ministry, will pool representatives of 30 member-states of NATO, the
alliance's Partnership for Peace programme, the UN Office for
Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA), the International
Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the
UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Organisation for
Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPWC), the European Union and the
Stability Pact.
NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and Croatian Prime
Minister Ivo Sanader are expected to attend the event.
