The head of the Croatian Office for Veterinary Medicine, Mate Brstilo,
told reporters in Sarajevo that the two countries would soon sign an
agreement on cooperation in veterinary medicine and that they fully
agreed with regard to food exports criteria, which were primarily
aimed at protecting the consumers' health.
He said that inspections from Bosnia and Croatia had checked all food
plants which had applied for exporting food to Croatia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina and that there were 17 such plants in Croatia and
seven in Bosnia.
Brstilo also announced the cancellation of a ban on lamb import and
the import of horses, especially racing horses from
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
