BENKOVAC, May 2 (Hina) - A new settlement for Croat families exiled from Bosnia-Herzegovina during the 1990s war was opened in Benkovacko Selo, a village in the central Adriatic hinterland south of Zadar, on Saturday.

The 57-house settlement will receive as many Bosnian Croat families.
The nearby town of Benkovac provided free building plots and built the
infrastructure with Zadar County's assistance, while the government
provided construction materials with which the families built their
own houses.
In attendance were numerous state and local officials.
