ZAGREB, April 29 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Thursday received the Romanian Government's Special Envoy for Integration, Cooperation and Sustained Development, Radu de Hohenzolern Veringen, the Office of the President
said in a statement.

received the Romanian Government's Special Envoy for Integration,
Cooperation and Sustained Development, Radu de Hohenzolern Veringen,

Mesic and his guest discussed European Union enlargement in the light
of the fact that both Croatia and Romania have the same goals with
regard to integration with the EU.
They stressed the importance of reaching European standards,
particularly those relating to economic development, in which the
reconstruction of infrastructure would play an important role.
Speaking of the Croatian minority in Romania, Mesic said that
minorities should be a bridge of cooperation between the two
countries, the statement concluded.
