The reason for allowing persons younger than 18 to have active voting
rights is the fact that voters in Croatia are more and more older on
average, Libra leader Jozo Rados told a news conference in the
parliament on Wednesday.
He said that Libra's proposal included not only rights but also
responsibilities for young voters.
Rados added that the lowering of the age for acquiring active voting
rights was also recommended by the European Union.
