Strasbourg yesterday confirmed that his government would pay damages to the surviving members of the Zec family from Zagreb, who now live in Banja Luka and whose parents and sister Alekandra were killed in Zagreb in December 1991.
BANJA LUKA, April 28 (Hina) - The Banja Luka-based Nezavisne Novine
daily of Wednesday dedicate special attention to reports that Croatian
Prime Minister Ivo Sanader in Strasbourg yesterday confirmed that his
government would pay damages to the surviving members of the Zec
family from Zagreb, who now live in Banja Luka and whose parents and
sister Alekandra were killed in Zagreb in December 1991.#L#
Addressing reporters in Strasbourg, where he held a speech at the
Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly, Sanader said the
government was considering ways to solve this problem.
The surviving members of this Serb family requested an out-of-court
settlement with the State.
The paper also reports about Sanader's statement that Croatia is fully
oriented towards integration into the European Union and NATO, the
strengthening of good neighbourly relations in the region, and full
cooperation with the Hague tribunal.
