Sanader held separate meetings with Serbia and Montenegro's President
Svetozar Marovic, Albanian Prime Minister Fatos Nano, and Turkish and
Greek prime ministers Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Constantin Karamanlis.
Marovic told reporters after the meeting that he congratulated Sanader
on the positive opinion of the European Commission on Croatia's
application for membership in the European Union.
"All the steps taken by Sanader's government set a good example of
brave, active and pro-European conduct which we in Serbia and
Montenegro want as well," Marovic said, adding that Croatia could set
an example for all countries in the region.
He said that the talks with the Croatian PM also addressed ways to
improve good neighbourly relations between Croatia and Serbia and
Montenegro.
