supported an Appeal for the Truth about the Homeland Defence War, a
document sent by a group of Croatian intellectuals to the parliament
and government.#L#
We are convinced that the Croatian parliament and government will find
the right way to defend the dignity of the Homeland Defence War and
its participants, and reject monstrous accusations expressed in
indictments against Croatian generals and against the war itself, said
the statement signed by the association's president, Dr Juraj Njavro.
About thirty signatories to the Appeal called on the Sabor, the Ivo
Sanader cabinet and the public to use the truth about the Homeland
Defence War and contemporary Croatian history to counter "false
indictments from the Hague tribunal claiming that Croatia is based on
a criminal enterprise and that it was an aggressor in
Bosnia-Herzegovina".
Among the signatories to the Appeal were Miroslav Tudjman, Zdravko
Tomac, Davor Domazet, Drazen Budisa, Franjo Greguric, Zlatko Matesa,
Nikica Valentic and Bosiljo Misetic.
