"The statement referred to the operations 'Medak Pocket', 'Flash' and
'Storm'. I spoke about my perception, about the situation as it was at
the time, and about the Homeland War, which was a war of liberation,"
Jarnjak said at the end of the second day of his interview with ICTY
investigators.
"I expect to see generals Markac and Cermak back in Zagreb as soon as
possible," the present chair of the parliament's Committee on Internal
Affairs and National Security told reporters after the interview.
Jarnjak's attorney Bozidar Kovacic confirmed to Hina that Jarnjak was
questioned as a suspect, but stressed that "all involved" concluded
that "it is almost completely unlikely that Jarnjak will be indicted
by the Hague tribunal".
