ZAGREB, March 18 (Hina) - The vice president of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, Shigeo Katsu, on Thursday arrived in Zagreb for a three-day visit to Croatia. This is his first official visit in the period in which the bank
and the Croatian government are working on the new Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) for Croatia.
ZAGREB, March 18 (Hina) - The vice president of the World Bank for
Europe and Central Asia, Shigeo Katsu, on Thursday arrived in Zagreb
for a three-day visit to Croatia. This is his first official visit in
the period in which the bank and the Croatian government are working
on the new Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) for Croatia.#L#
The strategy supports Croatia's reform programme aimed at improving
the standard of living and achieving a sustainable economic growth.
The strategy also supports Croatia's attempts to meet conditions for
joining the European Union.
Since Croatia became a World Bank member in 1993, it has received more
than US1.2 billion for 22 projects. Of the said amount, a total of
US700 million has been drawn.
