The indictment, issued by the Office for the Prevention of Corruption
and Organised Crime in October 2002, says that Nevenka Tudjman, using
her social position while her father was in power, made it possible
for her business partner and second defendant, Igor Knezevic, to earn
several million kuna by installing telephone switchboards at a dozen
faculties, institutions and public institutions. She made about 1.7
million kuna (approximately 223,000 euros) out of this deal. Knezevic
is also accused of tax evasion.
The trial will continue on March 25 with witness testimonies.
