The trade unions said that the city government had been refusing for
two years to negotiate a pay rise, and that their pay was 500-600 kuna
lower than that of employees in city administration.
The strike on Wednesday will last from 0900 to 1000 hours, and will
resume on Friday from 0800 to 1600 hours.
The companies involved include the city transport company ZET, the
central bus terminal Autobusni Kolodvor, and the sanitation company
Cistoca.
