ZAGREB, March 8 (Hina) - Mirko Vojinovic aka Capalo, one of the persons indicted for war crimes committed at the Ovcara farm outside the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar in 1991, died in a Novi Sad hospital on Monday morning, Belgrade
District Court judge Vesko Krstajic told Radio B92.
ZAGREB, March 8 (Hina) - Mirko Vojinovic aka Capalo, one of the persons
indicted for war crimes committed at the Ovcara farm outside the
eastern Croatian town of Vukovar in 1991, died in a Novi Sad hospital
on Monday morning, Belgrade District Court judge Vesko Krstajic told

Vojinovic, 65, died from the injuries sustained on January 27 this
year when he attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the third
floor of the Novi Sad hospital, Krstajic said.
Krstajic will be presiding judge in a trial beginning on Tuesday when
the indictment in the Ovcara case will be read. The indictment charges
the accused with killing at least 192 Croatian prisoners of war on
November 20 and 21, 1991. The accused were members of the Vukovar
Territorial Defence that was attached to the Yugoslav People's Army
(JNA).
