The group of economic experts at the Foreign Ministry will be headed
by Assistant Minister for Economic Cooperation David Sopta.
Addressing around 30 economic advisers from foreign embassies in
Zagreb, Sopta said that the Club would serve as a link between them,
state administration and private firms.
Sopta pointed out that economic diplomacy was one of Croatia's five
foreign policy priorities and that its aim was to encourage foreign
investment and reduce the foreign trade deficit.
Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul announced that his ministry would more
often organise business trips abroad for Croatian business delegations
as well as visits of foreign delegations to Croatia.
