2004 state budget.#L#
Finance Minister Ivan Suker dismissed an amendments submitted by
Dragica Zgrebec and Milanka Opacic of the Social Democratic Party
(SDP) who proposed that budgetary expenses for business trips,
intellectual and other services be reduced by close to 450 million
kuna.
The SDP-sponsored amendment is almost the only one which is aimed at
the reduction of budgetary expenditures.
A total of 426 amendments weigh 8.5 billion kuna. SDP deputies
proposed more than 100 amendments. Their amendments weigh close to
three billion kuna,
Minister Suker said yesterday the government would not adopt any of
the amendments submitted by MPs because they weighed 8.5 billion
kuna.
The budget will remain within the old frameworks -- revenues will
amount to 79.4 billion kuna and expenditure will total 84.9 billion,
Suker said.
