The decision on the investigation and the detention was made by Judge
Zoran Luburic after he interrogated six suspects. The other three are
at large.
The six suspects stood mute, Luburic told Hina today, adding that
detention had been set due to the risk of them destroying evidence,
obstructing the investigation, or repeating the crime they were
charged with.
Detention was also set because the Law on Criminal Procedure envisages
it for crimes which entail imprisonment longer than eight years.
The abduction of a minor is punishable with up to 10 years'
imprisonment.
