Commission president Ivica Crnic said the turnout at the repeated and
by-elections would most likely be lower than at those held last July,
when only 10 percent of eligible voters voted on the county and city
levels and 22 percent on the municipal level.
Of 228,985 constituents who could vote for ethnic minorities' councils
and representatives in counties, cities and municipalities only 13,875
or 6.6 percent did so by 4 pm.
The Interior Ministry reported only one incident, which occurred in
Oriovac, where a man protested against the make-up of slates.
The results of the ballot will be released on Monday.
