After a session of the party's Main Committee, G17 Plus leader
Miroljub Labus told reporters he wished as great parliamentary support
for the government as possible, which he said also meant support by
the Democratic Party of Boris Tadic and Zoran Zivkovic.
"The basic dilemma of the session was: a new government or new
elections, but we agreed that new elections were the worst solution
at the moment", Labus said, adding that the new government, if parties
of the democratic bloc reached an agreement, could be established in
the next two weeks.
The party is expected to meet on Sunday to decide whether it will
agree to a minority government with the support of the Socialist Party
of Slobodan Milosevic, which, as advocated by Vojislav Kostunica's
Democratic Party of Serbia, would also include G17 Plus and the
coalition of the New Serbia and the Serb Revival Movement.
