The playground, worth 240,000 kuna, was opened by Ambassador Sir John Ramsden, Mayor Milan Bandic, and the UNICEF ambassador, Croatian actress Bojana Gregoric.
Sir Ramsden said the embassy wanted to give the playground to the children of Zagreb before Christmas as a sign of gratitude to its host city.
The playground at Ribnjak was built according to special European Union safety standards and was adapted for children with special needs, the ambassador said, underlining that the playground had been designed in cooperation with Zagreb's institute for the protection or the cultural and natural heritage.
