Attending the meeting were also War Veterans Minister Jadranka Kosor and Justice Minister Vesna Skare-Ozbolt.
Sanader informed the delegation about the government's steps in the legal and logistic support in the cases against the general and all other Croatian citizens indicted by the UN tribunal in The Hague.
The premier said the government found the allegations in the indictments unacceptable and that it would do everything to have Croatia engaged in proceedings as a friend of the court.
The delegation fully supported the government in the legal proceedings and suggested two of its legal experts to help, which the government accepted.
The coordinating body yesterday held a meeting at which it adopted a conclusion which supported Gotovina and urged the government to use every means available to contest indictments which the coordinating body said criminalised the 1990s Homeland War and the state's military and political leadership, and also falsified Croatian history.
The conclusion also welcomed the government's decision to offer the Hague tribunal guarantees so that Gotovina could be released pending trial.
