Staks was visiting two families which the German government and the Adventist agency for assistance and development 'Adra' are helping to rebuild their houses.
Staks, who visited Vojisnica with Adra director for Croatia Tihomir Lipohar, said that 450,000 euros had been donated in 2005 for the repair of some 100 less damaged houses.
The ambassador said that he was satisfied with Adra's efficiency in investing humanitarian aid in the war-ravaged areas of Croatia.
Staks also pointed to the need to create conditions for the employment and social reintegration of returnee families.
He said that he visited some families which had previously been farmers and now did not have any machines or tools and needed help in rebuilding their farms.
The head of Vojnic municipality, Nebojsa Andric, thanked for help aimed at enabling local families to function independently, adding that the municipality lacked funds to speed up the reintegration of returnees.
