Goran Trdin told Hina by telephone that members of the delegation "have had several meetings and the Mayor has visited Yad Vashem today".
Trdin added that more details of the visit would be given at a press conference next Tuesday.
Asked whether they had visited Ariel, the town with which Osijek was to sign a twinning charter, Trdin reiterated that he would inform about everything at the news conference upon their return from Israel and that they departed for Israel on 7 November as planned.
Mayor Djapic was to have travelled to the Israeli town of Ariel for talks on signing the twining charter, but seven days before the trip the mayor of the Israeli town cancelled the visit after Ephraim Zuroff, the head of the Simon Wiesenthal centre in Israel, accused Djapic, describing him as a notorious "extreme anti-Semite".
After receiving a letter from Ariel saying that his visit was cancelled, Djapic said he was sorry to learn about it.
The leader of the local Jewish community, Damir Lajos, also expressed regret over the cancellation of the trip, saying that Djapic and the Jewish community in Osijek had developed good cooperation.
