Norway will earmark 1.47 million euros to upgrade the scan centre at the HCR, which was opened in March thanks to a Norwegian deed of donation worth 8.3 million kuna.
So far Norway has donated about nine million euros for mine-clearing in Croatia, mine victims and education about the danger of mines, and it is one of the biggest such donors.
Present at the signing ceremony were the new Norwegian ambassador, Elisabeth Walaas, and the Croatian government's advisor on demining and HCR Council chairman Djuro Brodarac.
Walaas said she hoped the contract would be important for the further cooperation between the two countries.
Danielsen said Norwegian experts would continue to help the HCR and Croatia in upgrading the anti-mine system.
Jungwirth said the contract would enable the making of maps of areas suspected of being mine-infested, which would increase the effectiveness and safety of humanitarian mine-clearing.
