ZAGREB, Oct 11 (Hina) - Croatia and Ukraine have the possibility ofadvancing economic cooperation, the Croatian-Ukrainianintergovernmental committee on trade and economic cooperationconcluded at its third meeting in Kiev on October 10
and 11, theCroatian Economy Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.
ZAGREB, Oct 11 (Hina) - Croatia and Ukraine have the possibility
of advancing economic cooperation, the Croatian-Ukrainian intergovernmental
committee on trade and economic cooperation concluded at its third meeting in
Kiev on October 10 and 11, the Croatian Economy Ministry said in a press
release on Tuesday. The Croatian delegation was led by the state
secretary for the economy, Vladimir Vrankovic, while the Ukrainian delegation
was led by Deputy Economy Minister Andrey Berezny.
Vrankovic also met Economy Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Ukrainian MPs
and members of the Ukrainian-Croatian group for inter-parliamentary
cooperation.
Bilateral trade in 2004 was around USD80 million, up 72 per cent from
2003.
In this year's first eight months, trade was USD76 million, up 61 per
cent from the corresponding period in 2004. Croatian exports were USD10.5
million, while imports from Ukraine were USD65.8 million.
