Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic said the Croatian parliament would continue to decide when a foreign army would be allowed to enter Croatia or when Croatian troops would go out of the country, except in case of troops of international organisations of which Croatia is a member or is in the process of joining.
Also today, parliament adopted with a majority vote a report on the implementation of the law on the rights of war veterans and their families in 2004.
MPs unanimously adopted a bill ratifying a memorandum on the establishment of a national fund between Croatia and the European Commission.
Parliament adopted a proposal on monitoring the use of EU pre-accession funds every six months.
Also adopted with a majority vote were a bill on the ratification of a Croatia-San Marino agreement on the avoidance of double taxation on income and amendments to the law on the rights and obligations of state officials.
Parliament will hold a special session on Friday to mark Independence Day and will convene again on October 12.
